Rattlesnake Hills Camp Hunts

This is an area of Central Wyoming known for producing the biggest of the big Mule Deer.  The State of Wyoming Game & Fish Department has been managing this area for a long time to produce an older age class of bucks.  Tags for this area are very limited and the license draw is a tough one.  This is when having preference points will help your odds considerably of drawing one of these coveted tags.

These hunts are conducted from a temporary camp very close to the best hunting.  If inclement weather conditions exist, we stay at a motel in the Riverton, Wyoming area.  We hunt this area during the end of October for rifle hunts.  This is the pre-rut time for these big Mule Deer when the biggest bucks come out of hiding.

The archery season is the month of September.  In September, the bucks are still in their summer patterns and can be running in bachelor groups.

Trophy deer hunts from the Rattlesnake Hills Camp will all be 7 full days and 8 nights.  This gives us plenty of time to look over a lot of country and bucks to find the one that is your dream buck.

These hunts are primarily spot and stalk.  We cover lots of country in the trucks to get between the best hunting locations.  A lot of time is spent glassing this big country, so it is always a good idea to bring the best binoculars you can acquire for this hunt.

Little Missouri River Camp Hunts

This camp sits right on the eastern edge of the famous Black Hills northwest of Devil's Tower.  These ranches consist of rolling plains with the Little Missouri River running through them.  The east side of these properties extend well upward into the Ponderosa Pine and Oak trees of the Black Hills.  There are an abundance of Merriam Turkeys, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer and Antelope on this property and even a few elk.

We have a small two-bed log cabin on the property that we use to accommodate small groups of hunters.  The cabin has a nice wood-burning stove to keep the nights warm.  This camp has all of the amenities, including a hot shower and fully outfitted kitchen to help make your hunt the best it can be.

This area provides a very unique situation for deer hunting.  The area is open for Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer hunting from November 1st through November 25th.  This may be the only 100% license draw area where you can hunt Mule Deer during the rut.  The Whitetail will also be rutting at the same time, and your tag will permit you to harvest either one.

There are also opportunities to take antelope on this hunt, but keep in mind that they can start shedding their horns in mid November, so we will only hunt them early in the month.

Like our other deer and antelope hunts, these hunts will all be 4 full days and 5 nights, with all food and lodging included in the price of the hunt.

We also offer spring Merriam Turkey hunts from this camp.  These turkey hunts can also be combined with Prairie Dog hunts on the same ranch.

Hunters driving in for the hunt will be met in the town of Hulett where they can follow the guide to camp.  If you are going to fly, you can fly into Gillette, Wyoming and the guide will pick you up at the airport.
